Reliance Jio has announced the launch of its collaborative video conferencing-cum service called JioMeet. The new video conferencing service supports call conferences with up to 100 people and, as per the company, meetings can go up to 24 hours without any interruption. JioMeet is now available through the respective app stores across all platforms including Android , iOS , Windows, macOS and the Web. Interested users can also download it from the official Jio Meet website.
JioMeet service comes with WEBRTC support that allows users to join a meeting from any device via JioMeet invite link from a supported browser without the need to download any separate app. However, to host a meeting on JioMeet users will need to download the app. The service offers HD audio and video call quality and comes with the option to schedule a meeting in advance and share meeting details with invitees.
Meetings are encrypted in JioMeet, the company says, and password protected. Additionally, the host can enable the Waiting Room without permission to ensure that no participant joins.
Other features include screen sharing, safe driving mode, support for multidevice login, device switching during a call, and more.
